Desperation is a gift that everybody needs but nobody wants. Those times of darkness can be a gift in that they bring us to moments when we strip away our pride, drop our sense of self-sufficiency, and position ourselves to hear from God.
All of us, from time to time, stand in need of renewal. There are seasons when we feel dry, or distanced, or even discouraged, and we need to draw close to God. The good news is that we can feel refreshed in God. We can be renewed.
