Rise and Build-January Update

The beginning of a new year brings about a sense of anticipation for new things that are to come. With that in mind, we want to celebrate the new things that are happening with the Rise and Build campaign. Here are the new things we have accomplished so far with this project…

· Demolition and reconstruction have begun on the mezzanine level. This has included the need to bring some wiring up to code, a task that has been completed.
· Doors have been refinished and door jambs have been painted in the mezzanine level, as well as two bathrooms and three classrooms.
· Faucets and drains have been ordered for the bathrooms.
· Ceiling tiles have been replaced, as needed.
· A first coat of paint has been added to the walls of the mezzanine level, and painting has also begun on the railing in this level.
· Specially themed painting has begun in the classrooms, as well as specially themed building on the outside of the classrooms.
· The Rise and Build Finance and Décor teams have met and approved designs and financial draws for the 1st phase of the project.
· Carpet has been ordered and has already been fully installed in two classrooms and in half of a third classroom. Additionally, cove base flooring has been added to the classrooms where the carpet has been fully installed.
· LVT tile has been ordered and is being installed.
· Classrooms are being equipped with various forms of electronic accessibility, including cables for wi-fi, computer and AV wire.
· Additional electronic wiring is being added to the outlets on the main wall just outside the classrooms.
· Chairs for Toon Town have been delivered. Also, a new sound system for Toon Town has been approved by the Experiences Team sub-committee and has been ordered.
